London, All the "Important" Stuff

After Zimbabwe we flew into the Heathrow airport in London for some quality time chillin' in Europe as a family.

For those of you who don't know where Zimbabwe is...it is NOT located near Ebola One of the best parts of international airports are all the different languages and accents. The Phoenix; Heathrow (near London); Johannesburg, South Africa (yes it is a country!) and Harare (the big city in Zimbabwe) airports all contained an ample supply of British accents.                The first leg of our trip went from The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to the London Heathrow International Airport. The flight was quite uneventful, although I did enjoy watching Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In addition to these movies, I watched half of two more movies, Epic and Guardians of the Galaxy. Shingai Primary School

On February 27, 2015 I went to Shingai Primary School (in uniform) for sports day. Four different primary schools (including Shingai) gathered together at the best track, to compete in track, relay, and the high jump (slightly different than ours). It only included grades 5-7 so I missed one of the village kids in 4 th grade do the high jump. L Since then I have gone two full days (leave at 6am, home at 5pm) and two half days (Fridays go 6-2ish) I have enjoyed my classmates, but sometimes the day seems to run on since English is their second language and my second nature so… The first term (from January to end of March) ends on the last day of March. In my class there are 45 students (including me) and one teacher! Every morning we pull out our morning work notebooks and do our morning work out of the English book. Happy Late Valentine’s Day!

On Friday the 13 th (OOooooo), my parents went to the couples braai (cookout) hosted by Chiredzi Christian Church and held at the Davy’s house. While they did that, I hung out with some other kids at the Burbidge’s house which is right next to the Davy’s. I enjoyed the company of nine kids and two babies.                We turned on a movie, which was the first movie or TV that I had watched since our first week here! During about half of the movie I held an adorable baby who slept for a good while of that time and the rest of the time was mainly playing with the younger kids or eating. The babysitter, Lisa, told me a story about when one of her dogs was attacked by a boa constrictor!
